ABOUT MY PHOTOGRAPHS 06/2026

My website contains three galleries of images made on the eastern end of Long Island and New England.

Seascapes displays images of Long Island Sound and grew out of my interest in photographing the rocks along the north shore. I grew up in a small private beach community on the Sound and was always curious about the huge metamorphic rocks just down the street. After moving back to the island in 2014 I started photographing them along with other subject matter on the east end. For me the shore is a place to go to decompress and enjoy nature, open space and tranquility. I especially like early evening when the beach has emptied and the sea calms. Because of individual town beach restrictions I only photograph in the off season.

Sideshows seemed an appropriate catch-all phrase for images made of tidal estuaries, adjacent landscapes, Americana and other built structures related to long Island's seashore culture.

The Americana gallery is developing similarly to Sideshows but displays buildings and houses - vernacular period architecture that reflects some of the history of eastern Long Island and New England. Like other man made objects placed in landscape, architecture provides hints about the ordinary lives and everyday endeavors of people who live/d in a specific region and left their mark.

I sell fine art prints online and through stock houses. This helps keep my overhead and prices low. I offer archival paper prints, canvas wraps, metal and acrylic prints and digital downloads. I also offer editorial, commercial and rights-reserved licensing. If you're seeking specific content for editorial/commercial use, feel free to contact me because I have a pretty extensive database of imagery.

My equipment includes Canon 35mm pro cameras/lenses. I also use an iPhone 15 Pro Max occasionally and have uploaded a few images to this site. A well exposed iPhone image will print to 16 x 20. These images are lower in price. PayPal and Stripe payment processing are available at checkout. I also accept Zelle and Apple Pay.

I hope you enjoy my work.
